OW! OW! OW!

Someone please just shoot me and get me out of my misery! I normally have three to five attacks every day, but there are times when the frequency and severity go off the chart, like when the barometric pressure does the yo-yo thing. We’ve had waves of storms rolling through for the last couple weeks and with each wave comes a new round of attacks. The right side of my head is tender even in between attacks right now and my right eye, cheek and the right side of my mouth feel like they are sagging. I know everything is relative, but I never thought I’d be glad to JUST (yeah right) have three to five attacks per day.

I don't know if I've mentioned it before, but I enjoy doing woodworking. My house is cluttered with my projects. I have launched a new website that promotes my hobby and maybe will help my it pay for itself.  If you get a few minutes, check out Just Plain Board at http://www.plainboard.com

Well, I should go clean the kitchen. Stuff has been piling up the last couple days, because I just can’t get motivated in between the CH attacks.

The Prodigal Son Returns

Kill the fatted calf, I am back. Well, at least for one entry, then it's probably back to obscurity for a while.  What can I say?  I'm not so good at this blogging thing.

I've been getting pounded recently by my cluster headaches.  No news there.  Still no preventative medications working for me, so I am still aborting them as they come with 100% Oxygen at 15 liters per minute via my Clustermasx.  I have Imitrex injections for the ones that O2 won't kill, but those are rare.

There's new information about a surgical treatment for cluster headaches called Supraorbital Nerve Stimulation on the OUCH Website. Check out it out at http://www.ouch-us.org/chgeneral/surgery/suporbstim.htm  I'm not really an advocate for cluster surgery, but the info might be useful to those who have literally tried everything else and are desperate.  None of the available surgical options have a long term success rate high enough for me to go through the emotional torture of yet another failed treatment after so great an expense.  Well, that and I just bloody well can't afford any of them anyways.

My youngest has graduated.  Now we're going broke getting him set up for college this fall.  We applied for his room at the end of April/beginning of May and still he got the last room in the dorm he wanted.  It was, of course, a more expensive room than his first choice, but, he's in and that's what matters.  He's now scrounging for a job to help offset some of the little nitnoid expenses and so he can get a decent little car to get him around town.

Just think...in two months time, it will just be Jane and me in this big old house.  Actually, we are thinking of moving down to the city as well.  It's where Jane's job is and the gas it takes for her to drive 120 miles a day is literally eating our lunch. I hate to move.  We are on 4 acres with a house, workshop and a pond.  If we move, we will likely end up in a small house with a small yard, a 1 car garage and close neighbors.  I can deal with everything, except the close neighbors, but such is life when you are downsizing and economizing.

Well, I'm off, but then you all know that.  Don't you?  LOL
